Alpine Lake Monitor Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026.

Alpine Lake Monitor uses the watch location to select a nearby lake. The last known coordinates are stored locally on the watch. Coordinates are not included in lake-data requests. Requests identify a lake and a time range and are sent to public Alplakes/Eawag API and data-storage endpoints. These providers may receive ordinary network information, such as the requesting IP address, according to their own policies.

Favorites, selected lakes, language preferences and cached readings are stored locally on the watch. This free version does not include advertising, analytics, an account system or a payment library. It does not send activity or health records to the developer. Removing the app removes its locally stored application data according to Garmin behavior.

Garmin Connect or the watch internet connection relays data requests. Garmin privacy terms and the data providers' policies also apply. Cached data can be viewed offline; new downloads require connectivity.
